VerifiedDr. Satyajit Borah2020-12-29Excellent place for a family holiday Spent two nights at Padmini Resrt with my family on a brief holiday. Very good resort, well maintained, food was also good. Because of the pandemic restrictions most of the leisure activities were suspended, but with all the facilities the resort is offering, it is no doubt a lovely family destination for holidays to the upper Assam and the adjoining Arunachal circuit. The Dibru-Saikhow wildlife sanctuary is also just nearby.Verifieda_kr_mittal2019-04-13Good food Not many good places for good food in and around Tinsukia, but we found Padmini Resort on Guiajan road as a good option for food. The menu card is not too long, but most of the dish on card are delicious. Thanks to the Chef who has been working at such a remote place with lot of creativity.VerifiedRomanCitizen2019-03-21Needs money spending Group of 7 birdwatchers from the UK, all very experienced travellers. Like hotels all over India, the owners built this place and thought that the spending stops there - but it doesn't: money has not been spent on maintenance and the place now looks tired. The state of the snooker table had us in hysterics. And like other hotels in India, the management of the place is non-existent. Negatives: the website claims there is a swimming pool: we arrived after a long dusty journey looking forward to a swim, only to find the pool empty bar 5 centimetres of muddy water. No explanation was vouchsafed for this state of affairs. I know this is rural India, but if the place is offering wifi, why on earth is it shut off at night ? absolutely infuriating: impossible to get wifi before 8:30, when someone finally turned up who knew how to restart the server. Positives: we had great food everywhere we went in Assam, but the Padmini was the tops: there was some sort of cream cheese kofta which was simply divine - and the young lad acting as waiter was a star, nothing was too much trouble: he got all our tips. I wanted to only give 3 stars, the great food made me up it by one.VerifiedDIPANKAR PAUL RAAJ2018-12-10Best in Tinsukia I am confident enough to say that it is best hotel in Tinsukia district.
